About Me

Christopher Noble

I am a highly experienced finance professional with over 25 years of experience as a corporate relationship banker, capital markets professional, investment banker, portfolio manager, treasurer and chief financial officer.  My  specialties include business analysis, risk management, identifying financing options, and developing and executing specific financing plans.  Along the way I have worked in various credit risk, liquidity risk, strategic planning, product management, derivative, cash management and treasury management roles.

Recently I was the acting chief financial officer of a small finance company where I was brought on board to create a finance function, interview and hire an accounting firm, create a financing plan and prepare an equity memorandum and related sales material.

Previously at LCP Capital, I served as a portfolio manager, product designer and fund raiser for a firm that invested capital in accounting and hedging solutions for large global financial institutions.  LCP’s primary fund provided the risk capital that enabled five domestic and international banks to avoid consolidation of over $50.0 billion of high quality assets thereby improving Basle II capital efficiency.

Prior to joining LCP Capital, I was the Head of US Treasury at Swiss Re Financial Products (SRFP") where I was responsible for funding more than $20.0 billion of on-balance sheet and off-balance sheet security positions.   I grew the funding sources and trading lines from $2.5 billion in 2001 to $40.0 billion in 2005.  Responsibilities included the funding of a US broker/dealer and providing the capital for all of Swiss Re's North America insurance carriers.  I was involved in major booking office decisions, catastrophe bond and life securitizations and various intermediation roles. As SRFP's Liquidity Risk Officer I created a model and metrics that ensured that funding sources were diversified and that contingent risks were identified, tracked and controlled.  The model that was created extracted information from existing systems and had the ability to do Basel III-type stress testing.  The effects on liquidity of natural disasters, terrorist events, market disruptions, ratings downgrades, asset liquidity changes, etc. were regularly studied.

Prior to Swiss Re I spent 5 years at Westpac Banking Corporation first as the Head of North American Syndications and Asset Sales and later as the Head of the US Corporate Finance Originations and as Global Credit Derivative Product Manager.

I started my banking career at Manufacturers Hanover and Chemical Bank in various lending and syndication positions in New York and London.  While a structuring and underwriting specialist in the Syndication Groups of Manufacturers Hanover and Chemical Bank I was responsible for the lead bank role in more than 100 transactions aggregating over $80 billion.  I was responsible for the syndication of acquisition finance (LBO) transactions arising from a number of deal sponsors including Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.

I am a graduate of Brown University with a degree in Mathematical Economics and received my credit training at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company.  I also have an Associate PRM Certification.
